The parties have discussed the interaction on the line Ukraine-EU, inter alia, the preparation to the Summit Ukraine-EU and the Eastern Partnership Summit in Riga, as well as topical issues of bilateral agenda.

Valeriy Chaly has expressed gratitude to the Portuguese party for consistent support of territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine at bilateral level and in the framework of the international structures, such as the UN, OSCE and EU. Valeriy Chaly has praised the decision of the Portuguese government on the provision of financial aid to our state within the implementation of projects on cooperation between Ukraine and NATO, as well as the active role of Portugal in the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission in Ukraine.

In this context, Bruno Macaes has noted that the Ukrainian party could count on Portugal’s comprehensive support in the future.

The Secretary of State for Europe of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Portugal has assured that the Portuguese party would have completed all the internal procedures on the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU by the Eastern Partnership Summit in Riga.

The parties have agreed on the necessity of intensifying bilateral political dialogue at the highest level.
